The methodology sheet
Approach, dimensions and techniquesIn the first stage of administration, during the Spontaneous Collection of Interpretations, the Tables are given to the subject one at a time according to the established order.
Presenting the first Table he is asked to describe everything the figure suggests and evokes to him, everything he thinks the “figure” could be or could represent, emphasizing that there are no time limits and that anything can be seen as there are no right or wrong answers.
During this stage, the examiner faithfully transcribes every word of the subject and also takes note of his or her every particular attitude.
Once the Compilation of Responses is completed, we move on to an appendix to the Compilation, not provided for by all methods, in which we subject the subject to a series of Supplementary Tests, i.e., a series of quick tests in which, for example, we invite the subject to give a title to each spot; he or she is asked to indicate the Tables he or she prefers, making a note of them along with any comments; he or she is asked to say, according to his or her own judgment, which is the most likeable and which is the most dislikeable; finally, he or she is asked to make an ordered series of the Tables starting with the one he or she considers most likeable, down to the last one, the most dislikeable.
Once the Gathering phase is over, we move on to the phase called Inquiry, which involves asking the subject a series of questions aimed at understanding all the elements that contributed to the determination of each individual response.
With this survey conducted, the Test setting is finished and the purely technical part of data perusal begins.
